We are pleased to welcome Barbara Hollunder to the lab as a lab rotation research student

Barbara is enrolled at the Einstein Center for Neurosciences PhD program and did her Msc in psychology at the University of Vienna on cognitive sciences and neuroscience. There, she investigated associative memory in patients suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease.

She is currently focusing on exploratory work on degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s Disease. During her stay, Barbara will investigate the relationship between anatomical tracts connected to Deep Brain Stimulation electrodes and symptom-specific clinical outcome parameters in patients suffering from various brain diseases. Primary focus will be the relationship of modulated fiber tracts passing by the electrodes and their potential role in clinical changes.
